The IS200STAIH2ACB is a compact analog input terminal board developed by GE and is part of the Mark VIe control system. The STAI board serves as a compact analog input terminal board within the system architecture. Its compact design, combined with an onboard ID chip, enhances system reliability and diagnostic capabilities, ensuring smooth operation and simplifying maintenance.
The module contains 10 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs. Both analog outputs are typically configured for a 0-20 mA range. However, one of the outputs can be configured via a jumper to support a wider current output range of 0-200 mA.
The board contains the necessary circuitry to filter the raw input signal to eliminate electrical noise and provide some signal shaping. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection are also provided to prevent abnormal conditions such as surges or short circuits in the field wiring from damaging the expensive back-end control modules.
