It mainly provides convenient maintenance-accessible terminal connectors for on-site sensors and actuators, allocates +24VDC and +15VDC working power supplies to all installed I/O modules, and integrates signal filtering, independent fuse protection and transient suppression circuits to enhance the overall system's anti-electromagnetic interference capability. Through internal backplane wiring, it transmits high-speed digital signals between the I/O modules it carries and the IONet switch.

In-Field Notes:
- All on-site wiring must strictly follow the terminal markings on the baseboard module to prevent channel short circuits and signal misconnections.
- When replacing a blown fuse, the specified rated current specification must be used. If the fuse capacity does not match, it will cause the overcurrent protection function to fail.
- Hot swapping operations are only permitted under redundant control configuration. For single-channel non-redundant circuits, the relevant control logic must be stopped before replacing the I/O module.
- This module has a protection rating of IP20 and can only be installed in a sealed electrical control cabinet. It should be avoided from direct exposure to dust, humid environments and corrosive gases.
- When making on-site wiring, use AWG14–24 standard copper conductors to ensure stable and reliable terminal contact performance.
