GSI127 Galvanic Isolation Device: Ensuring Safety and Reliability

The GSI127 galvanic isolation unit is designed for use with signal conditioners, charge amplifiers, and electronics used in a variety of vibrometer measurement chains and/or sensors.
Compatible devices include the IPC707 signal conditioner for CAxxx piezoelectric accelerometers and CPxxx dynamic pressure sensors, the IQS9xx signal conditioner for TQ9xx proximity sensors, connected or integrated electronics for CExxx piezoelectric accelerometers, and integrated electronics for the VE210 velocity sensor. The GSI127 is also compatible with industry-standard IEPE sensors such as the CE620, CE630, and PV660 vibration sensors, as well as 4 to 20 mA loop-powered sensors such as the CE687 and PV685 vibration sensors.
The GSI127 is a versatile device that can be used to transmit high-frequency AC signals over long distances in measurement chains using current signaling, or as a safety barrier in measurement chains using voltage signaling. It also suppresses significant frame voltages that could introduce noise into the measurement chain. It features a factory-configurable transfer function and provides a voltage output signal suitable for transmission to monitoring systems.
Designed and built for long-term use, the GSI127 is available in both standard and Ex versions certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Furthermore, it incorporates integrated diagnostic features that automatically and remotely indicate the health/status of the measurement chain, ensuring you always know when you can trust your measurement results. These diagnostic features increase reliability and significantly reduce risk, making the GSI127 ideal for safety-related applications.
