The NDBU-95C 3AFE64008366 is a signal distribution and wiring hub, a highly organized and standardized terminal block. It can distribute one input signal to multiple outputs or combine multiple input signals into a single output.
During use, a portion of the loop can be easily disconnected via a pull-out jumper or switch to isolate faults or replace equipment without removing any wiring. Many branch units integrate signal isolators. This provides electrical isolation between each channel or channel group, offering the following benefits:
·Preventing ground loop interference.
·Blocking potential differences and noise from different systems or devices.
·Protecting sensitive I/O cards from field-side high-voltage surges.
Its applications are actually quite extensive. It can simultaneously distribute a 4-20 mA signal from a field transmitter to the AI card, PLC, and recorder of a DCS. It can also aggregate signals from different sources and send them to the same device.
