The IS200DSPX digital signal processor control board is the primary controller for the bridge rectifier, motor regulator, and gating functions of InnovationSeries drives. It also controls the excitation function of the EX2100 exciter. This control board provides logic, processing, and interface functions.
The DSPX control board contains a high-performance digital signal processor, standard memory components, and an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) for executing custom logic functions.
The DSPX's digital signal processor operates at 60 MHz. During normal operation, the DSP provides four external interrupts:
• Stack overflow (INTO)
• Inner loop load pulse (INT1)
• Two configurable inputs (INT2, INT3). The following types of memory are provided on the DSPX board for storing the DSP boot image, code execution, and configurable items in flash memory, as well as system history
• RAM for data storage and code execution
• NVRAM for non-volatile data storage
• Read-only memory for identifying the board version
