Description：
- The IQS450 signal conditioner includes a high-frequency modulator/demodulator that provides the sensor with a drive signal. This generates the electromagnetic field required for gap measurement. The conditioner circuit is constructed from high-quality components and mounted in an aluminum extrusion.
- Based on the eddy current effect, the proximal end sensor drives the probe coil to generate a high-frequency electromagnetic field. When the probe is brought close to a metal surface, the eddy currents generated within the metal react on the coil, changing its impedance. This change is proportional to the distance between the probe and the metal surface. The proximal end sensor accurately detects this impedance change and linearly converts it into a DC voltage signal ranging from -2 V to -18 V. This voltage signal directly corresponds to the gap distance.
- The system is based on a TQ401 non-contact sensor and an IQS450 signal conditioner. Together, they form a calibrated proximity measurement system with interchangeable components. The system outputs a voltage or current proportional to the distance between the sensor tip and the target.
- The IQS450 signal conditioner contains a highfrequency modulator/demodulator that supplies a driving signal to the transducer. This generates the necessary electro-magnetic field used to
measure the gap. The conditioner circuitry is made of high-quality components and is mounted in an aluminium extrusion.
